at Openenergytransition

🏢 About Openenergytransition

Open Energy Transition (OET) is a remote-first, mission-driven non-profit developing open-source tools and data for global energy and grid planning. With a team of around 50 highly-skilled professionals from around the world, they aim to make open approaches the global standard by 2030, guiding multi-trillion-dollar investments. Working here means contributing to a transparent, accessible energy transition while enjoying autonomy, trust, and collaborative professionalism.

About This Role

As Finance Manager, you will report to the Head of Finance and work closely with the Head of People and shareholders, managing financial operations for a fast-growing climate tech non-profit. Your work directly supports the organization's mission by ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic resource allocation, enabling the team to focus on impactful open-source energy solutions.

💡 A Day in the Life

Start your day by reviewing financial dashboards and emails from the Head of Finance and team across time zones. You'll manage accounts payable/receivable, prepare monthly reports, and coordinate with the Head of People on budget planning. Afternoon might involve a video call with shareholders or a deep-dive into grant financials, followed by updating cash flow projections before ending the day.
