Senior Software Engineer

• Lead backend development, building and maintaining server-side logic for Mozilla's ecosystem services.
• Own services end-to-end: deploy, operate, and monitor them in production, including on-call support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, CloudEng, product, UX) to deliver reliable features.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools to improve speed and quality.

By building and maintaining the backend platforms that power Mozilla's privacy-focused products (Firefox, VPN, Relay, Monitor), you help ensure millions of users worldwide have secure, reliable access to an internet built for people, not companies.

• 4+ years of software development experience with strong backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Rust; experience with PostgreSQL and SQL optimization.
• Hands-on DevOps experience on GCP with Docker; familiarity with observability tools like Sentry and Grafana.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence.
