Engineering Manager, Ads

• Lead a team of software engineers building Firefox Suggest Ads, including backend services, partner integrations, experimentation, and product-facing systems.
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a healthy, inclusive team culture and helping them grow in impact and craft.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to navigate ambiguity and deliver high-quality software aligned with Mozilla's privacy and quality standards.

This role helps build privacy-respecting advertising systems that support Mozilla's mission of making the internet better for people, ensuring user trust and data practices are balanced with business outcomes.

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of people management.
• Track record of leading teams that successfully deliver production software.
• Strong judgment around prioritization, execution, and balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
• Experience in search, ads, recommendations, or other privacy-sensitive domains, or ability to quickly learn complex domains.
