Engineering Manager, Ads

• Lead a team of software engineers building Firefox Suggest Ads, including backend services, partner integrations, experimentation, and product-facing systems.
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a healthy team culture and supporting their growth.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to navigate ambiguity and deliver reliable, privacy-respecting advertising solutions.
• Ensure software quality, security, and alignment with Mozilla’s standards.

This role helps build privacy-respecting advertising systems that support Mozilla’s mission of making the internet better for people, ensuring user trust and data protection while enabling sustainable business models for open-source products.

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of people management.
• Proven track record of leading teams to deliver production software.
• Strong judgment in prioritization, execution, and balancing short-term and long-term goals.
• Experience in search, ads, recommendations, or privacy-sensitive domains.

Salary ranges: Canada Tier 1: $165,000–$220,000 CAD; Canada Tier 2: $149,000–$199,000 CAD.
