Staff Operations Engineer

• Own and evolve architecture within a defined infrastructure domain, designing scalable and reliable systems.
• Lead delivery of ambiguous, high-impact infrastructure projects, driving migrations and performance improvements.
• Collaborate across teams (IT, SRE, Security) to unify solutions and influence technical decisions.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, automation, and root cause analysis.

This role ensures the reliability and scalability of Mozilla's infrastructure, supporting the organization's mission to build a better internet that prioritizes privacy and user empowerment.

• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
• Strong expertise in VMware, Cisco UCS, load balancers, Linux/Unix, networking fundamentals, and data center environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work across teams.
• Preferred: Infrastructure as Code (Puppet/Ansible), Python, observability tooling, containerization.
