Alumni & Ambassador: Communities Intern

• Engage the Kiva Alumni and Ambassador communities by monitoring Slack discussions and coordinating engagement and recognition efforts.
• Support cross-functional event planning and motivational messaging during Kiva campaigns.
• Assist with Ambassador recruitment, including posting job descriptions and screening applications.
• Help create reference materials (FAQs, training videos) and collaborate on volunteer engagement logistics.

This role helps expand financial access by supporting Kiva's community programs, enabling volunteers and ambassadors to spread the word about Kiva's mission and connect with borrowers worldwide.

• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and ownership of work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proactive, organized, and able to work independently in a start-up environment.
• Intermediate skills in Google Docs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Professional development workshops, access to Kiva's network of alumni, optional participation in Employee Resource Groups and social activities, and references for successful participants. This is a volunteer internship with a modest stipend of $800 per month (before taxes).
