How to Apply for ICT Support Specialist

at Imagineworldwide

🏢 About Imagineworldwide

Imagine Worldwide is a nonprofit tackling the global literacy crisis with a proven, low-cost edtech solution that has shown dramatic learning gains in Sub-Saharan Africa. Working here means contributing to a mission-driven team that combines technology with social impact, directly empowering millions of children.

About This Role

As ICT Support Specialist, you'll ensure reliable internet connectivity in remote schools and manage internal IT systems, directly enabling digital learning for thousands of children. Your work will be critical to program success, troubleshooting network issues and supporting staff across multiple countries.

💡 A Day in the Life

You'll start by checking monitoring dashboards for school connectivity issues, then triage support tickets from field staff. You might remotely troubleshoot a VSAT link or update device management policies, and later conduct a training session for partner IT teams on best practices.

🎯 Who Imagineworldwide Is Looking For

  • Has hands-on experience with network troubleshooting in low-connectivity environments (e.g., satellite, VSAT, or mobile networks).
  • Is skilled in managing IT systems (e.g., Active Directory, Google Workspace, MDM) and supporting remote teams across different time zones.
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and adaptability, able to solve problems with limited infrastructure and communicate technical solutions to non-technical users.
  • Shares a passion for education equity and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven nonprofit environment.
