How to Apply for Director, Growth (São Paulo, BR)

at Blab

🏢 About Blab

B Lab is a nonprofit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. As the organization behind the B Corp certification, it's a leader in using business as a force for good, offering a mission-driven culture and the opportunity to impact systemic change.

About This Role

As the Director of Growth, you will lead the development and execution of growth strategies to expand the adoption of B Lab's standards and certification, driving both mission impact and financial sustainability. You'll work at the intersection of strategy, marketing, sales, and operations, shaping how the organization scales its reach and revenue.

💡 A Day in the Life

As the Director of Growth, your day might start with a virtual check-in with your team spread across different regions, followed by analyzing growth metrics and market data. You could then meet with the marketing team to refine a campaign or with the standards team to align on messaging, and later, you might present a growth strategy to the executive team or collaborate with partners to expand B Corp's reach.

🎯 Who Blab Is Looking For

  • Proven experience in senior growth or commercial leadership roles, ideally in a mission-driven organization or B Corp, with a track record of scaling revenue and market reach.
  • Deep understanding of the B Corp movement and the certification process, with the ability to align commercial strategies with B Lab's values and standards.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, capable of translating market insights into actionable growth plans and measuring their impact.
  • Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, able to work effectively with product, marketing, sales, and operations teams, and comfortable in a remote-first, global environment.

📝 Tips for Applying to Blab

1

Tailor your resume and cover letter to highlight your specific experience in driving growth within a social impact or sustainability context, not just generic commercial growth.

2

Demonstrate your knowledge of B Lab's standards and the B Corp movement by mentioning specific initiatives or challenges in your application.

3

Quantify your achievements: use metrics to show how you've successfully grown revenue, expanded market share, or increased adoption in previous roles.

4

Address the location requirement explicitly: confirm you are a resident of one of the listed locations and within commuting distance of the specified offices, and mention your work authorization.

5

Since the role is remote-first, emphasize your experience with remote collaboration tools and your ability to thrive in a distributed team environment.
