What you will drive
- Lead ISS' funding strategy, cultivating and managing high-level relationships with donors, partners, governments, multilateral institutions and civil society
- Ensure ISS maintains a strong, credible and visible continental and global profile as the leading voice on human security in Africa
- Lead the implementation of the ISS 2026–2030 strategy while working closely with the Board of Trustees to define priorities for the next strategic cycle
- Drive organisational performance and innovation in response to external and internal challenges

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Proven track record in fundraising, developing proposals and managing donor relationships with governments, multilateral institutions and foundations
- Extensive experience managing projects and teams involved in qualitative and quantitative research, technical assistance and training within a Results-Based Management framework
- Demonstrated success leading diverse, multi-location teams and managing organisational governance
- Comprehensive financial management experience including budgets, multi-currency operations, donor reporting and host country agreements
