International Standards Fellow

Core responsibilities:

• Support the DNA Screening Standards Consortium (DSSC), including coordination, documentation, and standards-related activities
• Conduct international standards alignment and policy analysis related to biotechnology governance and regulatory coordination
• Perform China-focused stakeholder mapping and develop engagement strategies
• Design and deliver workshops and dialogues enabling Chinese participation in international standards processes
• Coordinate China-focused working groups and participation enablement mechanisms

This role contributes to strengthening biosecurity norms and developing innovative tools to safeguard modern bioscience and biotechnology, enabling it to advance safely and responsibly through international standards alignment and inclusive governance frameworks.

Required qualifications:

• Experience engaging with Chinese institutions, research bodies, or government-linked organizations
• Strong understanding of international standards development, technology governance, or regulatory coordination
• Experience in stakeholder mapping, workshops, or multilateral initiatives
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Professional working proficiency in English and Chinese
• Ability to work in cross-cultural, international, and multidisciplinary environments
