Internal Audit Coordinator

Core responsibilities:

• Conduct field surveys with recipients via call center technology to understand difficulties related to GiveDirectly's cash transfer program
• Collect complaints, provide responses, escalate cases, and produce weekly reports of cases, observations, and outcomes
• Support field operations including work planning, risk assessment, community mobilization, and recipient protection
• Research and utilize social media to investigate flagged online imposters and scammers

This role ensures eligible recipients are safeguarded, their rights are protected, and they have necessary support mechanisms to fully realize the impact of cash transfers from GiveDirectly, directly contributing to the organization's mission of ending extreme poverty through direct cash assistance.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Proficiency in English required, additional language fluency a plus
• 2+ years working with vulnerable communities
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
• Technological literacy to use smartphones, tablets, or computers for data collection
• Empathy, honesty, high integrity, and strong critical thinking skills

Compensation and benefits:

• Base salary of $66,200 annually for United States-based employees
