Intern - Statistical Analysis, Poverty Reduction, Inequality, Social Protection

Core responsibilities:

• Undertaking desk research and data processing, including statistical analysis through the use of various statistical and econometric programmes, including R, Excel, etc. Topics covered will include poverty reduction, inequality and social protection, with a focus on people in vulnerable situations such as persons with disabilities, migrants, youth, older persons and women, as well as research on policies for addressing those issues.
• Support the development of inputs to reports, summaries, and transcripts.
• Support in the development of materials and content for social media.
• Assistance in the organization of workshops, conferences, including the 9th Committee on Social Development, and expert group meetings.

This role contributes to poverty reduction, inequality mitigation, and social protection efforts in Asia and the Pacific, with a focus on vulnerable populations including persons with disabilities, migrants, youth, older persons, and women.

• Experience with statistical analysis and data processing using tools like R and Excel
• Knowledge of topics related to poverty reduction, inequality, and social protection
• Ability to support report development and content creation
• Willingness to assist with event organization and administrative tasks
