Intern, Economic Affairs

Core responsibilities for this Economic Affairs Intern position:

• Conduct research and analysis on economic affairs, trade policy, and development issues in the Asia-Pacific region
• Support the preparation of reports, briefings, and presentations on economic trends and policies
• Assist with data collection, statistical analysis, and monitoring of economic indicators
• Contribute to program management activities and stakeholder engagement efforts

This role contributes to ESCAP's mission of promoting sustainable economic development and regional cooperation in Asia and the Pacific, helping to address poverty, inequality, and economic challenges in the region.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a graduate program in economics, international development, public policy, or related field
• Strong research and analytical skills with ability to work with economic data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Knowledge of economic development issues in the Asia-Pacific region
