Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to incoming calls from survivors of sexual assault or their family members
  • Provide calm, respectful, trauma-informed engagement during sensitive disclosures
  • Collect basic intake information using firm-provided guidelines
  • Refer or escalate calls to an attorney when appropriate
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate records
  • Operate independently while adhering to ethical and professional standards

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Background in social work, counseling, victim advocacy, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Trauma-informed training or direct experience working with survivors of sexual assault or interpersonal violence
  • Strong listening, communication, and boundary-setting skills
  • Ability to manage emotionally sensitive conversations professionally and independently
  • Preferred: MSW, LCSW, or similar credential (licensed or pre-licensed)
  • Preferred: Experience with crisis lines, advocacy organizations, or clinical intake
  • Preferred: Familiarity with secondary/vicarious trauma and self-care practices

Benefits

What's in it for you

Compensation: $40–$50 per hour as a 1099 independent contractor, with a guaranteed minimum of one hour of compensation per business day even if no calls are received. Hours worked beyond the daily minimum are compensated at the agreed hourly rate.
