Industry Transition Programme Manager, PIE

Core responsibilities:

• Co-develop strategic frameworks and oversee implementation of PIE's industry transition workstream, focusing on iron and steel decarbonization
• Lead execution of Campaigns, Communications, and Public Engagement strategy and related grantmaking, managing a portfolio of grantees
• Build and maintain relationships with external actors across civil society, labor, business, and government to inform strategy and enhance impact
• Mobilize and convene partners as co-developers of strategy, maintaining productive relationships with grantees and other partners

This role creates positive change by advancing global efforts to achieve carbon-free power sectors by 2040 and accelerating the clean transition of iron and steel industries, contributing to a safe climate, clean air, and prosperity through just energy transitions.

Required qualifications:

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in driving change through public campaigning, advocacy, network mobilization, or roles within agencies, businesses, or government
• Deep understanding of NGO campaigning and/or government dynamics influencing policy processes
• Strong knowledge of international climate politics and policy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex issues into clear strategy documents
• University degree or equivalent
