What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Analyze Indonesia's regulatory landscape for blue carbon projects and develop internal frameworks and decision tools for assessing regulatory viability and risk
  • Assess applicable regulatory frameworks and policies affecting project eligibility, including land tenure, forestry regulation, and carbon rights ownership
  • Map relevant government and institutional stakeholders and develop engagement strategies, advising on approval sequencing and providing briefing materials
  • Define required permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals and develop practical roadmaps with timelines and risk mitigation strategies

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in coastal ecosystem restoration or blue carbon project development in Indonesia
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian environmental and carbon market regulations, particularly blue carbon
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage partnerships involving government agencies, donors, and technical organizations
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Environmental Science, Restoration Ecology, Coastal Management, Development Studies, or Public Policy); Master's preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
