Indigenous Relations Lead

Core responsibilities:

• Lead business development activities and relationships with Indigenous communities in Ontario and Atlantic Canada
• Collaborate with AECOM Canada’s Project Delivery Teams to ensure Indigenous reconciliation is fully integrated at each project’s phase: Proposal, Planning, Execution, and Closure
• Support and work with the Indigenous Capture Team (ICT), the Indigenous Delivery Team (IDT), the Indigenous Relations Technical Practice Group (IR-TPG) and Indigenous Vendors/Procurement Team (IVPT); meet monthly with the Chairs of these groups within AECOM
• Keep Regional Business Line Leaders informed of development activities and sit as a member of the Indigenous Relations Advisory Committee

This role improves the consistency, quality, and volume of Indigenous Projects across Ontario and Atlantic Canada, ensuring Indigenous reconciliation is integrated throughout project phases and fostering positive relationships with Indigenous communities.

• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge of Indigenous consultation processes and Indigenous Benefits Plans
