Mission
What you will drive
The Indigenous Engagement Manager will lead GCC's indigenous community outreach, engagement, and program development, building on vital work to date, while simultaneously piloting new initiatives that can be shared with other parks as models for their indigenous engagement initiatives.
- Increase direct tribal outreach and create durable methods for indigenous engagement, ensuring tribal priorities and perspectives are integrated across GCC programs and projects at Grand Canyon.
- Develop new models for acknowledging historical narratives, uplifting stories of resilience, and amplifying contemporary tribal connections to the Canyon.
- Create frameworks for career pathway development related to Grand Canyon, public lands, and co-stewardship for a wider audience of indigenous and tribal stakeholders.
- Partner with GCC's Visitor Programs, Marketing, Interpretive Sales, and Philanthropy teams to incorporate tribal perspectives in GCC programs and to identify opportunities for new or innovative programs that deepen engagement with tribes associated with Grand Canyon.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Professional and/or lived experience working with tribal nations, Indigenous communities, and Indigenous-led organizations.
- Experience fostering relationships and collaborating with multiple Indigenous communities and other stakeholders on diverse programs and engagements.
- Experience developing programmatic partnerships with non-profit organizations, community groups, or government agencies.
- Demonstrated skills with MS365 software systems, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The salary rate is 80K annually.
