Independent UN Human Rights Council Experts, with Extensive Professional Experience in Human Rights

Core responsibilities for these independent UN expert positions include:

• Reporting and advising on human rights from thematic perspectives related to hazardous substances, freedom of expression, or health rights
• Participating in Working Group and Human Rights Council sessions in Geneva and undertaking country missions
• Drafting reports according to established deadlines and organizing consultations with stakeholders
• Addressing allegations of human rights violations and providing advice to States on mandate-related issues

Required qualifications and experience:

• Extensive recognized professional experience and expertise in the field of human rights

• Ability to work independently in a personal capacity as a UN expert
