IN-26043 Global Science AI and Conservation Intern

• Extend the existing application by automating the process of uploading documents.
• Extend the geospatial extraction efforts to create a database of locations from the documents.
• Leverage foundation models to measure long-term impacts of earlier conservation efforts.

This role helps WWF better understand its conservation impact by applying AI and NLP to analyze project reports, enabling more effective planning and learning from past efforts.

• Pursuing a graduate program in computer science, data science, or environmental science with a documented strength in computational approaches.
• Expertise in the Python programming language.
• Experience leveraging large language model APIs (especially, but not restricted to, Gemini).
• Experience with geospatial information systems.

Paid internship at $22.50 per hour (full-time, 35 hours per week). Hybrid or remote work options available.
