About the Role
The role involves providing support to families affected by the sudden and unexpected death of children or young people.
Responsibilities
- Initiate immediate support for a caseload of families affected by sudden and unexpected death of children/young people aged 0-25
- Contact families within 24-48 hours of referral, complete initial assessments, and provide ongoing emotional support through home visits and weekly calls
- Deliver awareness training in hospitals, schools, and workplaces on bereavement support and referral processes
- Work with hospital trusts to establish/maintain bereavement suites and monitor memory box distribution

Required qualifications:
- Welsh language proficiency (essential for this North Wales role)
- Experience providing emotional support and casework to bereaved families or similar vulnerable groups
- Ability to work with healthcare professionals, police, coroners, and other agencies in a multi-agency approach
- Subject to DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
