HVDC Service Tendering Engineer – UK & Ireland

• Take full ownership of assigned tenders and ensure complete, compliant, and on-time submissions. Drive technical and commercial negotiations with customers.
• Define scope, prepare costings, and work closely with Sales to set margins and pricing.
• Identify and evaluate technical, commercial, and contractual risks.
• Conduct structured risk reviews with engineering, project management, legal, SCM, and finance. Ensure tenders are clear, competitive, and aligned with internal governance requirements.

This role contributes to shaping the next phase of energy transmission across the UK and Ireland by developing high-quality, competitive, and profitable tenders for HVDC service customers, supporting the transition to more sustainable energy systems.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in sales/tendering within industrial, power systems, transportation, or similar engineering driven sectors.
• Track record of leading tenders for complex, international, or high value projects.
• Knowledge of HV substations, power conversion, or power supply systems.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of tendering processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross functional, multinational teams and manage variable workloads.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel for customer meetings.
• Fluent English (additional languages an advantage).
