Mission
What you will drive
Under the direct supervision of the Humanitarian Advisor, and second reporting line to the Regional Programme Coordinator, the IUNV Humanitarian and Programme Coordination Analyst undertake the following tasks:
- Humanitarian Preparedness and Response: Support the Regional Humanitarian Advisor to strengthen UNFPA regional and country level crisis preparedness and response team by supporting Emergency Policy and Procedures activation; organizing and documenting Regional Crisis response meetings; supporting regional/country level roll-out of UNFPA Minimum Preparedness Actions; preparing regional humanitarian updates and briefing notes; supporting quality review of UNFPA country inputs into the Global Humanitarian Action Overview; and supporting inclusion of UNFPA's climate work within development and humanitarian programmes.
- Programme Coordination and Country Programme Development: Support the Regional Programme Advisor on development and timely submission of country programme documents and companion documents; conducting analysis of country programme documents including trends and bottlenecks; planning and execution of regional Programme Committee meetings and quality assurance exercises; monitoring implementation of the Regional Programme; and maintaining a system for efficient knowledge management of regional interventions.
