Human Resources Director

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with employment laws.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and staffing for employees, interns, and volunteers.
• Manage employee relations, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Oversee training programs, compliance training, and professional development for staff and volunteers.

This role ensures Veterans Group United maintains a compliant, ethical, and supportive workforce, directly enabling the organization to effectively serve veterans, service members, and military families.

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit, military, veteran services, or community organizations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
