High Voltage Power Engineer

• Lead the design, coordination, and technical oversight of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) systems across solar, wind, and battery storage projects
• Drive utility interconnection, optimize substation and transmission designs, and support projects from early development through financing, construction, and commissioning
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, design criteria, standards, and EPC technical exhibits
• Work cross-functionally with Development, Permitting, Construction, Finance, Operations, and external partners to ensure seamless project delivery

This role helps accelerate the deployment of clean energy facilities at scale by designing the high-voltage backbone that connects solar, wind, and battery storage projects to the grid, driving the transition to renewable energy infrastructure.

• 8-10 years total experience, including ≥4 years in clean energy project development and ≥4 years leading HV substation/collector design (345-500 kV)
• Strong understanding of HV transmission, substation equipment, MV distribution, metering, relaying, and SCADA/plant controllers
• Experience managing interconnection study processes in ERCOT and CAISO, with ability to review and challenge study results
• Advanced knowledge of steady-state modeling tools such as ETAP, SKP, or DigSILENT

• Compensation: $182,000 to $208,000 total compensation (base salary + bonus in USD)
