Healthcare Director

Responsibilities / What You'll Do

• Lead PESP's healthcare team to develop research, campaign strategies, priorities, and action plans to advance greater healthcare-related accountability and transparency by private asset managers
• Implement strategies by identifying and partnering with stakeholder groups impacted by private equity investments, participating in healthcare-related coalition work, engaging policymakers, regulators, and institutional investors, and supporting multiple related campaigns
• Collaborate to build and analyze data sets related to private equity acquisitions across healthcare sectors
• Lead implementation of research projects, including managing various staff's assigned contributions to research and analysis

This role creates positive change by addressing the role of private equity in healthcare, advancing greater healthcare-related accountability and transparency by private asset managers, and working with communities impacted by private equity's healthcare acquisitions to bring about change.

Required skills and experience:

• At least ten years of strategic research and/or campaigning experience
• Experience leading other staff and driving projects
• Experience in campaign strategy development and implementation, partnership development, working with media, political leaders, and/or managing and analyzing large datasets
• Strong communication and writing skills, including ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
• Experience with analyzing and modeling health impact data
• Experience with data management platforms like Airtable/SQL, data analysis tools like R or Python and data visualization tools
