About the Role

Responsibilities

• Provide program management, development, and grant reporting for health programs
• Create family-friendly resources/materials and develop/conduct trainings
• Help underserved families understand and navigate healthcare services
• Advocate for multicultural families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs

This role creates positive change by supporting families of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs, increasing parental engagement in healthcare, and ensuring underserved families can access vital healthcare services and resources.

Required qualifications:

• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Prior experience assisting families to obtain appropriate services and supports
• Familiarity with state/local resources and how to access them
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) effectively
• Strong knowledge of special education, DDA system, Maryland's healthcare system, and disability resources
• Available for flexible work hours (some evenings and weekends)
• Reliable transportation
