Head of Strategic Partnerships

• Support the design and oversee delivery of C40's overarching fundraising strategy, both short-term and long-term.
• Lead fundraising efforts on strategic priorities, develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective funders.
• Oversee the annual and monthly work plan of the fundraising team, ensuring clarity of deliverables, deadlines, roles and responsibilities.
• Strengthen and maintain the C40 funder database/CRM system (Salesforce) and support internal communications to build a culture of philanthropy.

This role directly supports C40's mission to confront the climate crisis by securing strategic partnerships and funding that enable cities worldwide to implement science-based, people-focused climate action, helping to limit global heating to 1.5°C and build healthy, equitable communities.

• Fundraising experience required, preferably in a global, fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English) and strong interpersonal/networking skills, particularly with senior executives.
• Experience using and managing a CRM database (Salesforce) and conducting robust due diligence around prospective funders.
• Line management experience essential; experience in climate, environment or sustainability preferred.

Salary: UK GBP £77,795 gross per annum (spot salary model). Benefits include: 35 days paid time off annually (including national holidays), two non-contractual shutdown weeks, up to 52 weeks parental leave (first 16 weeks paid at 100%), flexible working, time off in lieu, sick leave, employee training, Employee Assistance Programme, pension scheme, and private health insurance where applicable.
