Mission

What you will drive

  • Prepare and support regular convenings of GCoM's Global Regional Coherence Technical Working Group, ensuring two-way information flow with the GCoM Secretariat and other relevant Technical Working Groups.
  • Oversee and manage significant regional support funding budget, sub-grants, contracts, and deliverables and outcomes reporting, managing time/cost-quality of outputs and liaising with regional delivery partners.
  • Deliver effective grant management of global city network grants with regional components, identifying activities to complement core regional work and contributing towards regional strategies.
  • Lead monthly bilateral and global coordination calls with all GCoM Regional and National Covenants of mayors, working with colleagues to identify issues and routes to resolution.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Proven track record in engaging across multiple regions in city climate action planning and delivery and city network engagement, with ability to work across different cultures/timezones/languages.
  • Strong relationship builder with ability to spot and address issues and effectively manage complex working relationships.
  • Effective grant and contract management and oversight experience, able to work with grantees to support delivery of agreed outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential, including proven ability to facilitate workshops and meetings and communicate complex ideas simply to various audiences.
