Head of Programmes – Maternity Cover

• Lead the development and implementation of programme strategy and annual plans, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to project teams for direct investigations and local CSO partnerships, ensuring safe and high-quality delivery.
• Oversee programme budgets, financial management, and contribute to fundraising efforts including proposal development.
• Manage security, risk, and compliance for programme activities across multiple international locations.

This role directly supports communities in stressed environments to document human rights abuses, enabling advocacy, policy, and legal action that holds perpetrators accountable and drives systemic change.

• Professional proficiency in English or French with effective operational efficiency in the other language (B2 or above).
• Experience managing teams or individuals across multiple international locations.
• Understanding of risk management methodologies and experience applying them.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.

UK salary of £62,000 plus pension contribution; 28 days annual leave; counselling support; annual wellbeing days.
