Head of People/HR Executive

Core responsibilities:

• Partner with CEO and executive leaders to integrate people strategy into organizational strategy
• Lead, mentor, and develop the People Team across all areas of the employee lifecycle
• Oversee core HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and policy development
• Lead onboarding, orientation, engagement, and transition programs across the organization

This role helps create safe, inclusive environments where every child can thrive through play, building strong, connected communities by shaping culture, strengthening employee experience, and ensuring operational excellence across the organization.

Required skills and experience:

• 10+ years progressive HR experience with 7+ years in senior HR leadership roles
• Nonprofit experience required
• Experience serving as a strategic HR leader reporting to CEO, President, or Executive Team
• Experience supporting multi-state, distributed workforce with strong HRIS and people analytics experience

Compensation: Bay Area/NYC $163,300, All other locations $155,200
