Head of People

• Architect the organizational structure, develop the leadership bench, and build people systems to support rapid growth.
• Own the People function including HR business partnership, compensation, performance management, compliance, and workforce planning.
• Lead workforce strategy, hiring standards, onboarding, leadership development, and retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance, governance, and risk management across all jurisdictions.

By building the people infrastructure and leadership capability, this role enables Whisper Aero to scale its clean, quiet propulsion technology, reducing noise and emissions in aviation and air moving products, contributing to a more sustainable and community-friendly future.

• Proven experience leading the People function through significant growth, partnering with founders and executive teams.
• Expertise in core People programs: performance management, compensation, employee relations, compliance, workforce planning.
• Strong business judgment and strategic thinking; comfortable debating organizational strategy and tradeoffs.
• Bonus: experience in deep tech, hardware, or aerospace startups; familiarity with AI tools.
