About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Legal to join our team at Apollo Research. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our legal function and providing strategic advice to our business leaders. You will be responsible for managing a team of lawyers and providing guidance on all legal matters affecting the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead the legal function and provide strategic advice to the business leaders
- Manage a team of lawyers and provide guidance on all legal matters affecting the company
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support the company's business objectives
- Provide advice on all legal matters affecting the company, including contracts, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that legal considerations are taken into account in all business decisions
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the law and ensure that the company is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
- A law degree (LLB or JD) and a practicing certificate
- At least 10 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a similar industry
- Proven track record of leading a legal team and providing strategic advice to business leaders
- Strong understanding of employment law, contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
