Head of Hardware

• Act as technical lead for Peak's products and lead system design across system, mechanical, structural, and thermal domains
• Define and maintain system-level requirements for HV/LV distribution, enclosures, interconnects, cooling, and protections
• Oversee design-for-manufacturability and collaborate with supply chain partners to scale production
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary hardware team spanning electrical, mechanical, structural, and thermal engineering

This role helps build world-class energy storage products that advance sodium-ion battery systems as the storage standard for renewable energy, contributing to a more resilient grid and the transition to clean energy.

• 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering with at least 5 years in leadership roles
• Proven track record of delivering at scale high voltage and high power systems, energy storage systems, or comparable large-scale industrial/automotive hardware
• Expertise across electrical system design (HV/LV systems, bussing, protections), mechanical/structural design, and thermal management
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

The salary range for this role is $215,000 - $265,000.
