Head of Global Grantmaking

Core responsibilities:

• Lead the comprehensive evaluation and redesign of the global grants strategy, focusing on scalability via partners and experts, transparency, and maximum impact
• Manage and mentor a small and diverse team that includes intervention experts while fostering grant-making partnerships that create a culture of high performance and operational excellence
• Manage the full lifecycle of the grant-giving process—from outreach and application to vetting, distribution, and reporting
• Partner with ProVeg and K4G leadership to represent the grants program to institutional donors, showcasing the impact of our funding model

You will be the person helping to decide where resources can have the biggest positive impact in the food system, working at the heart of a movement that spans every continent to transform the global food system.

Required skills and experience:

• Demonstrated experience (re)designing or scaling a grantmaking, regranting, or funding programme with multiple stakeholders, partners, or intermediaries, including clear decision-making criteria and governance structures
• Proven ability to design and apply Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks to guide funding decisions, assess intervention effectiveness, and iterate strategy based on evidence and data
• At least 7–10 years of professional experience in relevant roles, including direct management of high-performing, geographically distributed and culturally diverse teams
• Strong understanding of nonprofit grant compliance, risk management, and financial controls across jurisdictions, with experience ensuring robust accountability and audit readiness
