Mission

What you will drive

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for CIVICUS's financial management, including budgeting, planning, reporting, and audit management.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring robust financial systems and controls are in place.
  • Embed sound financial management across the organization, ensuring stewardship, accountability, transparency, and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Work closely with the COO to provide high-quality financial insights to support effective program delivery and decision-making.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Recognized professional accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with at least 7 years post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in a Head of Finance role.
  • Senior-level experience in a finance leadership role within an organization of similar scale and complexity.
  • Extensive experience in establishing and administering financial processes for restricted donor funding in the non-profit sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of institutional donor regulations (EU, US Foundations, European government agencies) and strong written and verbal English skills.
