Head of Environmental, Health and Safety

Core responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation and oversight of a comprehensive safety program to ensure best-in-class EHS performance for personnel, contractors and interested parties
• Lead a best-in-class EHS program across renewable energy construction and operations that implements and maintains systems to proactively identify, control, and manage safety and environmental risks
• Partner with executive leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders to embed a strong safety culture aligned with Intersect's long-run values
• Develop, track, and control the EHS annual operating and capital budgets and provide leadership during the definition of EHS targets, KPIs, policies and procedures

This role creates positive change by ensuring best-in-class environmental, health and safety performance across renewable energy construction and operations, protecting personnel, contractors, and communities while supporting the development of innovative energy solutions to preserve the planet for future generations.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Business
• 15+ years experience working in energy construction (oil, gas, solar, wind, chemical plants)
• 10+ years' experience managing and/or directing an HSE operation, with a focus on strategic planning and execution
• Experience at large construction sites and/or major industrial facilities (e.g. chemical plants) and ability to lead root cause analysis safety reviews

Total Compensation: $221,000 - $260,000 (base salary + bonus in USD)
