Half-Time Executive Director

Core responsibilities:

• Develop the Earth's Athletes program and design engagement opportunities for youth athletes, professional athletes and coaches, schools, parents, etc.
• Lead fundraising, outreach, and relationship-building with potential donors through various communication channels.
• Provide vision, strategic planning, and financial management to ensure organizational sustainability and compliance.
• Supervise staff and volunteers, maintain an inclusive workplace, and oversee recruitment and performance management.

This role creates positive change by developing and leading the Earth's Athletes initiative to engage athletes and sports fans in the climate movement, helping to grow an intergenerational movement strong enough to break the power of the fossil fuel industry and spur climate justice.

Required qualifications:

• Multiple years of experience at the executive or senior level of nonprofit leadership.
• Background in educational program development and/or campaign organizing.
• Proven track record of positive donor engagement and ability to develop growth strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and presentation skills with commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Benefits include:

• $3/hour stipend in addition to base hourly rate to go towards health insurance costs
• Paid time off (PTO) accrued hourly based on a maximum allowance of 33 days (equivalent to 11 paid federal holidays, 7 sick days, and 15 vacation days)
