The role

To be the first point of contact for all visitors to Wilton Park, providing a professional and friendly welcome and delivering a quality experience to everyone that approaches the reception desk.

Key responsibilities

  • A Guest Services and Reception Officer is responsible for ensuring a positive experience for all guests and visitors, providing excellent customer service, and handling a variety of administrative duties. They are the first point of contact for guests and play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment. Their responsibilities include checking in and checking out guests, answering enquiries, managing reservations, and addressing any guest concerns or needs during their stay, as well as ensuring the environment is maintained to high standards of health and safety, and fire safety management at all times.

  • Collaboration with other departments is vital in this role, effectively communicating and liaising with others to ensure our guests visit is seamless.

  • You will be an organised problem solver who thrives under pressure and handles last-minute changes effortlessly. A Guest Services and Reception Officer must proactively prioritise tasks, completing them within agreed timelines and to consistently high standards during all methods of communication.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and professional under pressure

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office 365

Desirable skills

The below criteria are desirable only. These will not be assessed throughout the recruitment process but will be used in the event of tied scores between candidates.

  • Experience of front of house reservation system and/or CRM database management systems

  • Qualified first aider, full training will be given if required
