Core responsibilities:

• Running experiments to communicate AI risks to the general public with an extremely broad and creative action space
• Identifying and refining ideal customer profiles and running experiments specifically for them
• Working with creators, writers, contractors, and external partners to produce and distribute content
• Managing launches of new content, demos, press, and social media presence across platforms
• Measuring results rigorously and iterating based on learnings
• Building systems to turn successful experiments into scalable, repeatable processes

This role creates positive change by communicating AI risks to billions of people across the world, creating sufficient pressure for careful, conscientious development of AI rather than the current haphazard race.

Required skills and experience:

• Experience working on growth at a startup, thinking in terms of experiments and measuring results, in roles including growth, marketing, communications, or product
• Past experience communicating social issues to the public via campaigns, movements, social media, or other forms of mass media
• Strong personal agency with ability to proactively initiate new projects and persevere in bringing them to life
• Comfort wearing multiple hats beyond core responsibilities in a startup environment
• Strong opinions on what makes for good communication and what is missing from the discourse
• Deep alignment with CivAI's mission of helping the world better understand the implications and risks of advanced AI

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000
