Grants Officer

Core responsibilities:

• Donor mapping: Identify new funding opportunities, screen potential donors, and develop and maintain a database of potential funding opportunities
• Proposal development: Lead/support the development and submission of grant proposals and budgets. Includes coordinating and planning with other colleagues in the Platform
• Grant administration and compliance: Oversee the grant cycle (pre-award to closeout), ensuring adherence to donor requirements, policies, and legal standards
• Fundraising: Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to meet financial goals. Cultivate relationships with a wide variety of donors, including public, corporate, foundations, etc.

This role supports the organization's mission to promote sustainable international peace and deliver justice for victims of conflict-related violence by securing funding for legal assistance, litigation, advocacy, and human rights documentation work.

Required qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in proposal, project, or programme development and reporting
• Familiarity with donor rules, regulations, and procedures, including but not limited to UN and EU agencies and key donor countries
• Good knowledge of English (min. C1)
• Strong time management skills and organized
• Passion and dedication to mission and values of the organisation, result-driven commitment, ability to work in an international team and handle uncertain situation with flexibility
