About

The Grants & Finance Manager will oversee all aspects of grants management and revenue tracking while supporting day-to-day finance operations. This role will ensure accurate financial monitoring, compliance with funder requirements, and smooth coordination with the external accounting team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of grants management and revenue tracking while supporting day-to-day finance operations
  • Ensure accurate financial monitoring, compliance with funder requirements, and smooth coordination with the external accounting team
  • Work closely with development, operations, and program staff to support grant monitoring and reporting, as well as general finance operations
  • Improve grants monitoring & reporting on a monthly basis
  • Bring more financial operations in-house in the short term (3-9 months)

Requirements

  • Experience in grants management and financial operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience with financial software and systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Excel)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with grant management software and systems
  • Experience working with external accounting teams

Required qualifications:

  • 5 years of demonstrated experience in finance or grants management at mission-driven, non-profit organizations
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and non-profit restricted funds or grants management
  • Proficiency with finance, accounting, and operations software & systems such as QuickBooks, BILL, Tallie, and Salesforce
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to the mission of climate justice and understanding of grassroots organizations

  • Salary range: $104,000 to $114,400
