Grants Associate

Core responsibilities:

• Determine how to structure grants in consultation with the Legal team
• Conduct due diligence on grantees and collect missing information
• Track grant details in Salesforce grants database and manage payment tracking
• Communicate with program staff and grantees throughout the diligence and payment process
• Support related projects such as setting up new legal entities, tracking program budgets, and improving processes through automation

This role enables the efficient disbursement of over 1,000 grants annually across high-impact causes, ensuring that bureaucratic hurdles don't block funding for work that saves lives, improves animal welfare, addresses existential risks, and creates positive social change.

Required skills and experience:

• At least two years of operations-relevant experience
• Experience with legal compliance, finance, or consulting is a bonus
• Experience in a fast-moving startup environment is beneficial
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex information clearly
• Ability to work independently and solve novel problems creatively
• Receptive to feedback and eager to iterate and improve processes
• Motivated by Coefficient Giving's mission and impact areas

Compensation and benefits:

• Baseline compensation: $123,678.56 (distributed as $107,546.57 base salary + $16,131.99 unconditional 401(k) grant for U.S. hires)
