Grant Writer/Project Associate

Core responsibilities:

• Grant writing and support, including preparing narrative drafts, conducting research, compiling data, and writing narratives
• Budget development and justifications for grant applications
• Managing grants.gov and other online submission procedures
• Data research and analysis for grant applications
• Analyzing RFAs/NOFOs and communicating requirements to clients

This role creates positive change by helping non-profit health and human service agencies secure funding through grant writing, enabling them to address critical issues like homelessness, HIV/AIDS, substance use, and mental illness in marginalized communities.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 2 years' experience working with or for health and human service non-profits, preferably in grant writing/development work
• Ability to research and apply analytical skills to support program development
• Ability to prioritize multiple demands, work independently, and meet deadlines
• Strong coordination, organizational and communication skills
• Understanding of social determinants of health and issues facing marginalized populations
