GIS Analyst

Core responsibilities:

• Compile, organize, analyze, map, and visualize data related to air and water pollution
• Update databases and websites including Oilandgaswatch.org and Ashtracker.org
• Develop, update, and/or test informational dashboards and story maps
• Evaluate and summarize information from public records, permit applications, and related documents

This role helps hold industrial polluters and government agencies accountable for compliance with environmental laws, working to protect public health and advance environmental justice through data-driven advocacy and legal action.

Required qualifications:

• Four years of relevant professional experience and a 4-year college degree or higher in geography, environmental sciences, or related field
• Proficiency with GIS software like ArcGIS or QGIS
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Excellent analytical, research, writing, organizational, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
