Geospatial Data Engineer, Federal

Core responsibilities include:

• Develop and run processing pipelines in cloud infrastructure to deliver data from FireSat to federal customers
• Manage collection, processing, and delivery of data products to current customers
• Serve as product owner for imagery data products from FireSat for federal customers
• Work closely with Business Development team and federal end-users to clarify customer needs

This role contributes to building analytics systems that process data from spacecraft instruments for global wildfire detection and monitoring, supporting Muon Space's mission of delivering Earth Intelligence for a safer and more resilient world.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years building geospatial data pipelines
• Experience building and operating high-volume data processing pipelines in commercial cloud infrastructure
• Experience working with the defense and intelligence geospatial community
• Exceptional skills in python-based development and analysis
• Experience with National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF) file formatting

Compensation and benefits include:

• Salary range: $203,000 - $254,000
