Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement fundraising and marketing strategies aligned with goals set by the Financial Director and Board of Directors
- Build and manage annual fundraising plans, timelines, and campaign calendars
- Track progress and provide regular updates, reporting, and insights
- Create and execute campaigns to expand individual giving, including monthly donors
- Develop new support from corporate partners and cultivate donor relationships
- Support donor stewardship efforts to strengthen retention and increase giving
- Assist with or lead fundraising event planning as needed
- Oversee grant prospecting, research, and pipeline development
- Manage grant applications, reporting, and deadlines in coordination with the Financial Director

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of nonprofit fundraising leadership experience (manager-level preferred)
- Strong organizational and project-management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to write compelling fundraising content (emails, appeals, donor communications)
- Familiarity with donor databases/CRMs and email marketing tools
- Experience fundraising in the Bay Area philanthropic environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in animal welfare/animal rights fundraising
- Strong alignment with sanctuary values; vegan lifestyle a plus
