Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Impact Monitoring Coordinator will lead and coordinate monitoring, data management, and impact reporting for a new grant portfolio focused on the recovery of Endangered species, ensuring credible, consistent, and actionable evidence of species recovery progress across the portfolio. The Impact Monitoring Coordinator will perform the following and other duties as assigned: Species Assessment & Data Management Coordinate with partners and relevant IUCN Red List Authorities (RLAs) to support regular updates to IUCN Red List and Green Status of Species assessments for all species of focus. Work with project teams to collect, compile, and manage baseline and annual data on species status and threats. Manage and maintain a database as the central monitoring system for the Fund’s portfolio. Lead annual interim Green Status of Species updates to track recovery trajectories over time. Impact Tracking & Reporting For each species, work with local partners and the Re:wild project team to define a focused set of component indicators that reflect meaningful recovery progress. Consolidate component indicators into clear headline indicators that enable consistent tracking at both the species and portfolio levels. Track project progress in coordination with project partners and the Re:wild project team, including review and synthesis of semi-annual technical reports. Maintain a public-facing impact tracking platform for the portfolio in coordination with the Marketing and Communications team. Produce annual impact reports summarizing progress across the fund’s portfolio. Ensure high standards of data quality, documentation, and reporting consistency across projects. Collaborate closely with the Re:wild Priorities and Monitoring team. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in conservation. Experience developing, supporting or implementing conservation impact monitoring systems. Familiarity with Conservation Standards methods and IUCN species assessment frameworks (e.g. IUCN Red List, Green Status of Species) preferred. Experience managing a relational database (Airtable experience preferred). Strong analytical and writing skills, with experience writing summary reports and proposals. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse partners. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong communications skills. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a relevant field preferred. Additional language skills preferred. Commitment to and passion for Re:wild’s mission, vision, and values. Hours: The position may occasionally require working outside of normal business hours to engage with staff located in different time zones around the world. Travel: Estimate 3-6 domestic or international trips per year, as needed. Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time, exempt, position. Projected salary range of $70,000-80,000 with the final determination to be made commensurate with the candidate’s experience. Re:wild provides medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance, with Re:wild covering between 65% and 100% of premiums depending on plan selection and dependent coverage. Re:wild also offers a 403b retirement plan with up to 3% match after a year of employment. Re:wild observes 16 paid holidays each calendar year. Half-time employees can also accrue the following annually: up to 15 days of vacation leave, 12 days of illness leave and 2 volunteer days.
