Vor Systems is building software to help accelerate capital deployment & project development for renewable energy. We help developers, asset owners, investors, and other stakeholders make better decisions, move faster, and cut costs to improve financial returns.

To reach our climate goals, the world needs to build at an unprecedented scale, but 10–30% of costs are currently trapped in the manual "soft costs" that keep renewable projects in limbo. We are eliminating this friction with AI-native workflows that help developers deploy assets and capital faster, providing the digital infrastructure necessary to modernize the grid and bring the physical world into an age of abundance.

We are a pre-seed, Gigascale Capital-backed company with paying customers. We’ve assembled the most talented, AI-focused team in this sector. Victor, John, and Guillaume have proven track records in founding companies (Cozy, Greenify) and scaling global platforms (DoorDash, Meta, Amazon).

How we work

We have adopted a heavily AI-centered development workflow, and are navigating the upsides and downsides of that as we go. We are biased toward nimbleness and speed to establish revenue and customer trust, but clearly see the need to maintain control over the stability, maintainability and productivity of our development environment. We want you to help us do all these things: maintain speed while keeping things under control. Come to us with your ideas, your experience, and your passion to help us achieve our vision.

We use, but are not wedded to:

• Next.js deployed via Vercel for our UI and backing API

• Supabase for data ops, file storage and authentication. We make extensive use of RLS, functions and triggers.

• Modal for async jobs including AI processing. Code is in Python.

Our customers trust sensitive data to us, and we take that very seriously. We are actively working toward SOC2 Type 1/2 and ISO 27001 compliance and certification, so you should be comfortable working in an environment where security gets a starring role.

What you’ll work on

You will own and ship end-to-end product features across the stack, from idea to production and iteration. This includes:

• Building and refining core product workflows in a Next.js + TypeScript application

• Designing and implementing backend APIs and database schemas (Postgres / Supabase)

• Turning complex regulatory, financial, and document-driven processes into clear, usable product experiences

• Integrating AI-powered capabilities into the product with appropriate validation, guardrails, and UX

• Establishing sound patterns for reliability, testing, and maintainability as the product scales

• Working directly with founders and customers to turn feedback into shipped improvements

Who you are

Ideally

• You have shipped and owned production web applications, including meaningful features end to end, and are comfortable working across the stack, including modern frontend frameworks (e.g. Next.js, React, TypeScript) and backend systems (APIs, databases, auth).

• You think in systems: data models, edge cases, failure modes, and long-term maintainability.

• You are comfortable owning loosely-defined problem areas and making sound decisions without perfect information.

• You care deeply about product quality and user experience, especially in complex or high-stakes domains.

• You communicate clearly, work autonomously, and collaborate well in a small team.

• You use modern AI-assisted development tools to move faster, while still owning and understanding the code you ship.

• We expect at least a few years of professional experience, but we care far more about judgment and ownership than titles or exact tenure.

Bonus points

• Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, or data-heavy domains

• Experience integrating AI or ML-backed services into production applications

• Prior experience as an early engineer at a startup
