Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cross-functional, multi-platform user interfaces to visualize, interact with, and manage large amounts of data in the cloud, often in real-time, ensuring usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Work hands-on across the stack with ReactJS, JS/TypeScript projects, and experiment with new technologies while collaborating with data scientists, back-end engineers, project managers, and designers.
  • Take the lead in client meetings to define requirements, propose solutions and alternatives, and communicate with users, colleagues, scientists, and decision-makers to collect requirements and define product strategy.
  • Ensure software quality, robustness, and compliance with standards by reviewing code, documenting, and creating automated tests.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience and proficiency in ReactJS/TypeScript, modern CSS and responsive design, state management (e.g., Redux, Jotai, React Query), web mapping libraries (e.g., Mapbox, DeckGL), and data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js).
  • Behaviors and mindset including global perspective and team collaboration, commitment to 'just enough complexity', agility with resilience to change, passion for coding and lifelong learning, growth mindset, flexibility and adaptability, and empathy and user focus.
  • Technical skills in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Next.js), REST API and web services, testing and QA (e.g., Cypress, Jest), and continuous integration tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Fluent English is required, and candidates should be eligible to work in Spain, Portugal, or the UK.
